One thing exchange students will need to know is KGU have many departments, for example, the department of foreign language, social welfare, commercial science, and economics. The department of foreign language has two courses. One course is Britain and the United States, another is East Asia. You can study foreign language both of them. The department of social welfare has five courses. There are First social welfare, Second social welfare, child household welfare, life wellness. The department of commercial science has two courses. One is commercial science and the another is hospitality management. The department of economics has three courses: management, legal economics, and internatational economics.You can choose any department whatever you want to study at this university.
The another is having large library. You can read various books, magazines, and newspapers and see movies. You can also study whenever you want to even holidays. You can use computers in this library. If you have to do your homework using computers, you can do in this library without paying for using. You can also listen to music in this library. There are many musics, for example,R&B, J-POP, reggae, house and so on. You can borrow books. There are many people in this library any time.
Having many places where you can eat lunch in the building. There is convenience store. The convenience store opens in from the morning to the evening so you can go whenever you need to go. There is a students' dining hall. If you want to eat, you have to buy a meal ticket whatever you like. There are many meals is sold, for example: curry rice, a set meal, ramen, udon and so on. There is a bakery. Breads, rice balls, salads, pies, and drinks. Ice cream is solded there, so there are many people who eating it in summer.
There are convenience store and bookstore in this university is good point, too. You can go there whenever you need to go. This convenience store opens at eight a.m. and close at ten p.m. A lot of students go there to buy foods, magazines, drinks and so on. KGU's bookstore's name is Maruzen. This bookstore opens at ten a.m. and eight p.m. Books, magazines, breads, drinks and stationery is sold there. Many students buy stationery there. If you buy magazines at this bookstore, you get ten percent off. It is very profitable for students.
KGU has a lot of computers, so you can use a computer and printer anytime. There are computers in e-campus center, library and first building. KGU’s computers have The Oxford English Dictionary and British National Corpus. You can’t use it at home. It is very useful to study English. When We told my friend about it, she was surprised. When you forget to do your assignment, you can use a computer and finish your assignment without going home.
KGU should have signs for exchange students. KGU is large and has a lot of buildings, so exchange students may lose the way. It is waste of time for them. If KGU has signs for them, it makes their college life useful.
KGU has a lot of exchange students who come from China, Korea, and America and so on, so KGU needs signs in Chinese, Korean and English.
KGU’s good point is having many clubs and circles. There are 110 clubs and circles. Club’s activity is each sports. Club member practice to win the game. Circle member search each topics and do presentation. But either of them, go to travel in holiday and enjoy themselves. Most of people join the club or circle to make many friends. If you want to enjoy your university life, We recommend you join clubs or circles.
Lastly, KGU has many good points. There are many useful places. I want you to enjoy your university life. I wish you had a good time in this university. Please use KGU's many good points.
